PORTLAND TUDOR
Guest Bath Remodel
This bathroom renovation reimagines a guest bath in a 1932 Tudor home, blending old-world character with refined, modern craftsmanship. The design honors the home’s architectural roots while introducing layered materials and timeless finishes for the modern age.
Handcrafted zellige tile lines the shower walls, its subtle variation and glossy surface catching the light to create depth and warmth. The artisanal quality of the tile nods to traditional European craftsmanship—perfectly suited to the romantic, storybook feel of a Tudor home.
A custom white oak vanity grounds the space with natural texture and warmth. Adding storage which the space desperately needed. Topped with a polished marble countertop, the vanity brings a classic elegance that feels both historic and enduring.
Underfoot, slate tile flooring introduces contrast and durability. The rough and un-uniform to the polished marble.
A new soaking bath serves as a sculptural focal point, offering both comfort and quiet luxury. Throughout the space, classic polished nickel fixtures add a subtle sheen—refined, period-appropriate, and timeless. The finish complements the marble and enhances the traditional Tudor aesthetic without feeling overly ornate.
The result is a thoughtfully layered bathroom that feels original to the 1932 Tudor home—warm, textural, and quietly luxurious, where craftsmanship and classic materials come together in a cohesive, enduring design.
